Vienna Trip Meeting for Students AND Parents

Wed., April 16th at 7 pm at Park Royal

 

We are in the early planning stages of organizing the participation of the Senior Singing Strings in the Summa Cum Laude music festival in Vienna, July 2015. This is a major undertaking for the Singing Strings, both musically and financially.   This trip will not happen without the dedication of the entire group.   Natalie will elaborate on the requirements for the group from the musical perspective and her expectations.   Jan will elaborate on the organizational and financial commitment of both students and parents.

PEI Symphony concert THIS WEEKEND! Special deal…

On Sunday April 6th at 2:30pm, the PEI Symphony returns to the beautiful Zion Presbyterian Church for the last concert of the season.

Under the direction of new Music Director Mark Shapiro the program features Tchaikovsky’s beloved Sixth Symphony the “Pathétique”, Stravinsky’s charming ballet “Jeu de Cartes”, and our recent Audience Choice winner, Wagner’s Prelude to Die Meistersinger.

The Zion Presbyterian Church is located at 135 Prince Street, at the corner of Grafton Street. Tickets will be available at the door, or in advance at the Confederation Centre box office, or online at www.confederationcentre.com.

Tickets are $44 adults, $40 seniors and only $15 for students and children, and a new Family Package is available for $80. To make it easier for families to enjoy the beauty and power of live orchestral music together, the PEI Symphony is delighted to offer this new package for this concert. Family groups with up to two adults and up to four children can attend for a single price of only $80. Please call 892-4333 to order.

Due to the rehearsal schedule there will be no Pre-Concert Talk with Maestro Shapiro for this concert.
