Singing Strings camp 2019

Hi everyone –

We hope your summer is going well and you are enjoying the warmer weather we have been having – July is going quickly and before you know it, it will be time for Singing Strings camp!
Our camp dates this year are August 26-28 and we are taking registrations on the evening of August 1 – please bring your $40 camp deposit between 5:30 – 7pm at Park Royal, where Jen and Wendy will meet you in the parlour. If you know you cannot make it that night, please be in touch with either Jen or Natalie to let them know and arrange for another time to give in your deposit.
We need to know how many students are coming in order to have the teachers and schedules in place, and we need money in advance to secure our spot at Park Royal, so please be in touch if you know your student will be coming to camp. If your student will not be coming to camp, please let us know that as well, so we don’t try to chase you down for a week or two… Thanks!
Please see the attached information letter and camp registration form – please print the registration form, fill in the information and bring with you to the registration night on August 1st.
Many thanks and see you at camp!

We finally have the schedule finalized for the Corelli Christmas Concerto event happening on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 27th. If you are able to come, please do! If you can’t make it, we will miss you but we wish you the best of relaxing holidays. Everything will be happening at Park Royal United Church (11 Christie Drive) in the sanctuary.

3:30pm – 5:00pm: Rehearsal with everyone and Dr. Karem Simon from UPEI, who will be our conductor.

5pm – dinner break – we might order pizza or something so we don’t have to go anywhere.

7pm – performance for whoever wants to come! Admission will be by donation, so bring your family and friends for an evening of music.

Parts for the Corelli are here:

Corelli Christmas Ripieno parts

so you should be able to print off a part or at least download it somewhere readable. I will make sure to have spare parts there on the day as well in case you don’t have time to print the parts.

If you know of other Singing Strings alumni who might want to come, please pass the music and the information on to them. We would love to make this a huge celebration to start the 40th year of the Singing Strings!

Coffee and conversation will follow, so plan to hang around for a bit to catch up with old friends.

Any questions, please let me know! Have a wonderful holiday break and we hope to see many of you on the 27th.

Thanks, Natalie & Jen
